Nov 11, 2024 · A $1.5 million grant from the Center for Tech and Civic Life was offered to the Shasta County Elections Office in December 2022. The Shasta County Board made the decision to accept the funds in April 2024, but now Board Chair Kevin Crye and Supervisor Patrick Jones are revisiting the topic, claiming their will was somehow “circumvented” by staff.
