Mar 25, 2015 · At Texas Tech, there are plenty of signature sights around campus, but the one that could be the most well known is the Tech Seal. “It’s the official seal of the university,” Bill Dean, the executive vice president and CEO of the Tech Alumni Association, said.
Our oficial identity system consists of three primary types of identities: the Double T, our Academic Coat of Arms and our Oficial Seal. Each has a distinct role to play. By following these guidelines, you will help to ensure their proper use. The Double T has a strong association with Texas Tech University.
WHEREAS, The emblem first appeared on Tech diplomas in 1948, and it was approved as the official seal of the university in 1953; nearly two decades later, in 1972, a red granite, 12-foot-high seal was placed at the Broadway and University entrance to the campus in what is now known as the Amon G.
