The PGA Tour season finale is upon us at East Lake for the Tour Championship, where our FedEx Cup champion will be crowned. As is tradition, there will be some formatting changes this year, and starting strokes will no longer be part of the equation.

The 2025 PGA Tour season wraps up this week with the Tour Championship at East Lake where a FedExCup champion will be crowned.

Also new, the payout. The Tour spread out the FedExCup’s $100 million prize pool with $40 million — in official money — on offer at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, Georgia. But, there’s more just guaranteed cash for the 30 men in the no-cut tournament.

The TOUR Championship features the top 30 golfers from the FedExCup standings in 2025 and just getting a spot in the field means a player has a chance to win this year’s FedExCup – as, new for this year, everyone starts at even par come Thursday.

There was plenty of drama on Sunday at the BMW Championship—even if everyone knew a Scottie Scheffler win was inevitable. (Sorry, Robert MacIntyre.) That's because many players behind those two on the leaderboard at Caves Valley were jockeying for position in the FedEx Cup standings with a trip to the Tour Championship on the line.
