Generally, during the summer months, dew points have to climb between 55 and 65 degrees before the weather feels sticky and muggy, according to the weather service. Dew points above 65 degrees make the heat oppressive and uncomfortable due to the high level of moisture in the air.

The threat of flash flooding on Sunday afternoon was focused over parts of the Midwest, where flood watches have been posted from Missouri to West Virginia, including the cities of Indianapolis and Cincinnati. Rounds of heavy rain and thunderstorms are forecast to sweep across the Midwest region over the next 24 hours.
