The Trump administration is pressing for a deal with Harvard University that would require the Ivy League school pay far more than the $200 million fine agreed to by Columbia University, according to two people familiar with the matter.

Harvard University said Tuesday that it has provided the federal government with employment records for thousands of employees under as part of a Homeland security review. The university alerted current and former employees in an email about the move, which follows a subpoena from the Department of Homeland Security.

Columbia settled with the Trump administration for over $220 million. Harvard is reportedly open to paying twice as much.
