CBS will end "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" and retire "The Late Show" franchise in May 2026, the company announced Thursday.

Former Vice President Kamala Harris will give her first post-election loss interview to Stephen Colbert on The Late Show. This comes shortly after the long-running late-night show was shockingly canceled by CBS and the public outcry that has followed.

The decision "is not related in any way to the show’s performance, content or other matters happening at Paramount," the network said.
