The Vikings had their first public practice of training camp on Saturday. KSTP Sports talked to Javon Hargrave, Dallas Turner and Byron Murphy Jr. after practice.
Metellus is in the final year of a two-year, $8 million contract, and he is due for a raise. However, Vikings veterans do not technically have to report until July 22, so Metellus’ absence from the list of early arrivals is to be expected.
Josh Metellus walked to the podium on Saturday afternoon at TCO Performance Center and took a deep breath as he reflected on his journey to get to this point. After agreeing to a contract extension with Vikings that will keep him in Minnesota through his prime, Metellus found himself thinking back to where it all started.
