SB Nation on MSNSeries Preview: Milwaukee Brewers @ Seattle Mariners
The Milwaukee Brewers are the hottest team in baseball, and they’ll look to stay hot as they head to the cooler confines of Washington to take on the Seattle Mariners. Winners of 10 in a row and now at 59-40 on the season,
Christian Walker hit a go-ahead solo homer in the sixth inning as the Houston Astros rallied from an early three-run deficit and beat the Seattle Mariners 11-3 to avoid a series sweep.
After the Mariners got off to a good start against the division rival Astros, Bryan Woo and company quickly fell apart.
Paredes suffered a right hamstring injury during Saturday’s matchup with the Seattle Mariners and was removed from the game. Through an interpreter, he said he will return to Houston tomorrow to be evaluated. He said this hamstring injury initially “hurts more than the other one,” which kept him out for three games in June via Matt Kawahara.
Houston is 4-3 against Seattle this season and 3-1 in the last four, but struggled entering the All-Star break. The Astros are 1-5 over the last six games after going on a 6-1 stretch prior to that. Houston is leading the AL West by 5.0 games and has the second-easiest strength of schedule remaining.
