Early this week, the Cincinnati Bengals got brought up alongside the name Wink Martindale as they continue to search for their next defensive coordinator. It was an incredibly strange bit of speculation/reporting because the Bengals and Martindale don’t exactly have the friendliest relationship in recent years.

After serving one season as Michigan’s defensive coordinator, Wink Martindale is reportedly exploring a return to the NFL. According to a report from NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, the 61-year-old is interviewing with the Atlanta Falcons on Tuesday and the Indianapolis Colts on Wednesday for their vacant defensive coordinator positions.
