Yosemite National Park’s largest campground has officially reopened after a three-year closure and a $26 million renovation project.

A 29-year-old woman was killed after being hit with a falling tree branch while hiking in Yosemite National Park, according to her boyfriend told SFGATE.

Tuolumne Grove is known for its nearly 3 miles of trails through majestic forests and for a tunnel carved through one of its giant trees. Falling branch deaths are uncommon but not unheard-of.
