An internet user has posted a photo of a few consumers placing tents outside a Micro Center store in anticipation for Thursday's launch of the RTX 5090 and 5080 graphics cards.

Word from Nvidia about the supply of its flagship graphics cards appeared on its GeForce Forums. A forum administrator and Nvidia staff member who goes by Tim@NVIDIA wrote today, “We expect significant demand for the GeForce RTX 5090 and 5080 and believe stock-outs may happen.

Campouts have already begun for the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 GPU, as people appear to be lined up in tents ready to plunk down thousands of dollars for NVIDIA‘s next powerhouse graphics card. This kind of thing is really nothing new when it comes to items that are likely to be limited in quantity.
