The Detroit Pistons are adding more experience and defensive help as they’re reportedly finalizing a one-year deal with 6-foot-5 wing Javonte Green.

The Detroit Pistons are landing forward Javonte Green on a one-year deal, ESPN's Shams Charania reported on Monday. Green has been a crucial defensive player coming off the bench for the majority of his career. He will likely play a similar role in Detroit.

The 6-foot-4 Green began his career in Boston in 2019 four years after going undrafted out of Radford. His athleticism and defense helped him earn a rotation role with the Celtics before he was traded away to the Bulls at the trade deadline in 2021 in a cost-cutting move.
