The Pentagon is ending the deployment of all but 250 National Guard troops that remained in Los Angeles who were originally sent to the city to deal with protests over the Trump administration’s immigration crackdown.

Another 1,350 California National Guardsmen were released from duty in Los Angeles on Wednesday, leaving 250 members in the area to protect federal property and personnel, according to the Pentagon.This latest troop release comes after roughly 2,

"Approximately 250 California National Guardsmen remain in Los Angeles to protect federal personnel and property," Parnell said. "We greatly appreciate the support of the more than 5,000 Guardsmen and Marines who mobilized to Los Angeles to defend Federal functions against the rampant lawlessness occurring in the city."
