At least 60 people were killed, more than 100 injured and another 200 still missing, Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Omar Abdullah told reporters on Friday. In neighbouring Nepal, at least 41 people have died, 21 are missing and 121 injured in floods, heavy rains, landslides and hailstorms since early monsoon rains started in June this year, according to data provided by the country's disaster management authority.

The death toll from heavy monsoon rains that have triggered landslides and flash floods across northern Pakistan has risen to at least 243 people in the last 24 hours.
