As part of neighbouring Japan’s effort at appealing to tourists, its Foreign Minister Takeshi Iwaya says his country is mulling introducing a new 10-year multiple-entry tourist visa aimed at affluent Chinese, as well as a multiple-entry sightseeing visas that can be used over a three-year period.

TOKYO -- Japan will introduce a 10-year multiple-entry tourist visa aimed at affluent Chinese as it looks to stimulate consumption. Other measures include doubling the maximum length of stay for tourists who travel in groups, as well as exempting travelers 65 and older from a requirement to submit proof of employment.
