Israel launched airstrikes across Gaza, killing at least 108 people. It also carried out strikes on two ports in Yemen. The escalation came as US President Donald Trump concluded a Middle East visit.

The army said on Telegram it had begun the "initial stages" of the offensive, known as Operation Gideon's Chariots.
