The wife of the Maui doctor charged with attempted murder after she was attacked with a rock and nearly shoved off a cliff said her husband had sexually abused and assaulted her for months.

The Hawaii engineer whose husband is accused of trying to throw her off a cliff alleges he had been sexually abusing her for months prior to the attack. Gerhardt Konig, 46, allegedly attacked his wife, 36-year-old Arielle Konig, during a trip to the Pali Lookout in Oahu, Hawaii, last week, per police.

Gerhardt Konig is currently in police custody on an attempted murder charge after attempting to throw his wife Arielle Konig off a cliff in Oahu, Hawaii.
