The first race of the 2026 season is the Australian Grand Prix in March. Bottas and Perez will hit the track in January, testing out the new car before its official debut in early February. Towriss noted that both men signed multi-year deals with Cadillac. Graeme Lowden was named team principal last December.

Cadillac’s drivers for the 2026 Formula 1 season are a pair of familiar faces. The team announced Tuesday morning that Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Perez would return to F1 as Cadillac makes its series debut. Neither veteran has a ride in 2025, though Bottas is currently serving as Mercedes’ reserve driver.

Sergio Perez departed a front-running team at the end of 2024, but will be returning with an all-new constructor in Cadillac.
