The Milwaukee Brewers could take a chance on a talented free agent to bolster their infield for a relatively low price.

Bob Uecker, the voice of the team on the airwaves for 54 years, a Baseball Hall of Famer and local, statewide and national icon, died Thursday.

The baseball community is mourning the loss of Bob Uecker following the death of the longtime Milwaukee Brewers broadcaster at the age of 90.

The Milwaukee Brewers say they will honor Bob Uecker at American Family Field next summer. The longtime broadcaster, who also developed a national following for his work on television and in movies, passed away this week at age 90. His family said Uecker suffered from lung cancer.
