Eintracht Frankfurt are standing firm on their £67m valuation of Marmoush and if City don’t match that, it could bring Liverpool back into the fold during the summer as the Reds may need a replacement for Darwin Nunez should the Uruguayan star move on.

According to Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg, the 25-year-old will earn between £260,000 and £275,000 a week before tax at the Etihad Stadium, which is a massive raise on his current salary, with the forward being paid around £32,000 a week in Frankfurt.
