The United States Geological Survey is reporting that a magnitude 6.2 earthquake has struck a region in southwestern Mexico.
The tremor was about five miles from Coalcoman de Vazquez Pallares, a municipality of around 20,000 people about 372 miles west of Mexico City.

MEXICO CITY — A magnitude 6.2 earthquake struck a region in southwestern Mexico early Sunday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey, causing no serious damage or casualties.
