Many Texas county courthouses used to be places where the public could apply for things like marriage licenses or schedule an appointment with the tax assessor.  As times have changed, so have the principle buildings that house administrative offices in many counties.

Fort Bend County will receive two generators for county-owned facilities ahead of the Atlantic hurricane season starting in June.

Fort Bend County Libraries Director Roosevelt Weeks said in a statement. Information technology professionals took immediate action to mitigate the disruption, and libraries are working with cybersecurity professionals to investigate the issue,

The library collects patrons’ names, phone numbers, email addresses, dates of birth and addresses when they sign up for library cards. Library staff said there’s no evidence to suggest that this data has been compromised during the cyberattack.
