Colson Montgomery had 12 games of experience at third base before arriving in the Major Leagues with the White Sox on July 4, and eight of those games came for Glendale during the 2024 Arizona Fall League.

On Sunday, the White Sox announced his promotion to the Double-A Birmingham Barons. Montgomery likely will make his first appearance with the team on Tuesday at 7:35 p.m. ET against the Rocket City Trash Pandas (Los Angeles Angels affiliate) at Toyota Field in Madison, Ala.

The Chicago White Sox have had a great start to the second half, going 5-1 in their first six games and winning back-to-back series against the Tampa Bay Rays and Pittsburgh Pirates.
