Michael Proctor, the former lead investigator in the Karen Read case, was heckled outside the courthouse in Dedham, Massachusetts Tuesday.Proctor, a former Massachusetts State Trooper, was heckled by a crowd as he entered Norfolk Superior Court to testify in the Myles King murder case.

Michael Proctor, the former state trooper fired in connection with the Karen Read case, does not want to be grilled about that legal saga if questioned in a separate murder case, records show. Proctor had been scheduled to possibly testify at a pretrial hearing Tuesday in the King matter,

King is one of at least three defendants seeking information about Proctor from the federal materials, which are under a secrecy order.
