The DC Studios film will no longer be a reunion between the trio of Craig, Guadagnino, and screenwriter Justin Kuritzkes, according to multiple reports.

DC Studios' Sgt. Rock movie has lost star Daniel Craig but not director Luca Guadagnino, who reportedly wants to shoot it this year.

The British actor, Daniel Craig, is widely known for his role as James Bond, which catapulted him to international fame.

Daniel Craig isn’t enlisting into the DC Universe after all. The actor has dropped out of consideration for the title role in “Sgt. Rock,” the DC Comics adaptation from Craig’s “Queer” director Luca Guadagnino and screenwriter Justin Kuritzkes.

The studio is now looking for a replacement and The Bear star Jeremy Allen White is now in the running, per THR. DC fans are feeling optimistic about the choice, with one taking to Reddit to write, "I like Daniel Craig but this would be an upgrade as Jeremy is younger and closer in age to the character."
