Wendy’s will use FreshAI, a voice AI assistant, at hundreds of Wendy’s locations by the end of 2025, CEO Kirk Tanner announced on Feb. 13. The news was met with mixed reactions from fans of the fast food chain online.

The company stresses on its website that the AI technology will be "an assistant – not a replacement" to Wendy's employees.
