Florida State University will host a "celebration of life" to honor the memory of the late President Emeritus John Thrasher on Tuesday, Aug. 19.

Thrasher served as FSU's 15th president from 2014 to 2021. The school said in a statement Friday he led FSU to new heights, making strides in academic excellence, student success and research.
