Houston Astros closer Josh Hader will seek a second opinion on his injured left shoulder, manager Joe Espada said Wednesday. Hader was placed on the 15-day injured list Tuesday with what the Astros termed a left shoulder strain. Espada did not offer further details about Hader’s injury or the first medical opinion Wednesday.

The Astros will go with a match-up based approach to their bullpen roles for now. Hader will undergo more testing on the sore shoulder.
