Nikola Jokic has informed the Nuggets he will not sign a contract extension this offseason, team sources told The Denver Post, as the three-time MVP intends to wait until next summer to engage in contract talks.

Nikola Jokić is going strong with the Denver Nuggets and is well on his way to being a Hall of Famer, but he apparently considered retiring a few years ago.

Former NBA All-Star Demarcus Cousins, who played in Denver with Jokic during the 2021-22 season, appeared on the Straight Game Podcast where he discussed Jokic and his nonchalant demeanor when it comes to basketball. Cousins appeared in 31 games for the Nuggets that season, averaging 8.9 points and 5.5 rebounds per game.
