While storms today were isolated and concentrated over the Palmer Divide, they'll be more widespread Sunday and Monday afternoons

A feathered family was reunited Thursday thanks to a special rescue by the Colorado Springs Fire Department. The department said three ducklings were discovered in a storm drain this morning. The crew of Engine 7 rescued the babies with the help of Colorado Springs Public Works and Colorado Parks and Wildlife.

The Colorado Springs Fire Department shared some photos of what caused firefighters to have an eventful morning.

A new tornado watch has been issued for southwestern Kansas and western Oklahoma until 10 p.m. CDT. According to the Storm Prediction Center, a few tornadoes are possible and a couple could be intense (EF3 or stronger). Widespread large hail (up to 3 inches in diameter) and damaging wind gusts up to 70 mph are all possible.
