Our environments sound very similar, except our ad/dns/dhcp are on 2016 servers. dns dynamic updates, secure only, are enabled. We are using DHCP reservations primarily for printers and access points.
I never didget a good answer for that design choice but it existed that way for ~5 years.<BR><BR>About 6 weeks ago though we changed all AD DNS zones to use secure dynamic update only.
