HOUSTON – Houston residents have the opportunity to pay their respects to former mayor and congressman Sylvester Turner at a public viewing at City Hall today. The viewing is being held at the request of Turner’s family and with the support of Mayor John Whitmire.

Houston Mayor John Whitmire referred to former mayor Sylvester Turner as the "best he had to follow" as he welcomed those outside of City Hall Tuesday morning to pay their respects to the late congressman.
