Mikaela Bautista’s audition for Season 23 of American Idol will air during the upcoming Sunday, March 16, episode, per photos released by ABC. Earlier this year, the aspiring star revealed on Instagram that she got her singing talent from her dad by posting a video of them singing together.

A local musician from Charlotte is taking his shot at stardom in the newest season of “American Idol.” Singer songwriter Josh King will be one of the many artists across the country auditioning for the hit singing competition.

Sadly, it’s been reported that Doug Kiker passed away this past Monday. The singer’s ex-fiancée, Valerie Cook, told TMZ that the “Singing Garbage Man” had died, and that she was heartbroken that her kids had lost their father. As for Kiker’s cause of death, that has yet to be revealed.
