The Tangipahoa Sheriff's office has placed four staff on leave after a man escaped from the jail on Thursday afternoon - the second time he has done so in a year.

The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office is again searching for Tra’Von Johnson, a 22-year-old accused murderer who escaped from the parish jail for the second time in just over a year — and whose disappearance went undetected for nearly six hours.

Authorities said Tra'Von Johnson, 22, who escaped from the Tangipahoa Parish Jail about a year ago, had accomplished the same feat again.
