A 10-hour yellow weather warning for thunderstorms has been issued for Teesside. After bouts of heavy rain over the weekend, the sun in shining again on most of the region. But the Met Office is warning that thunderstorms could hit our patch.

According to the Met Office's forecast for north west England on Monday (July 21), there will be "heavy showers" across the region interspersed with some sunny spells. They warned that the showers are likely to be "thundery" at times, with the risk of hail and "gusty winds" too.
