Whitlock underwent a right elbow ulnar collateral ligament repair in May 2024. Giolito underwent an internal brace procedure to repair his damaged elbow in March 2024.

Boston Red Sox starting pitcher Tanner Houck will undergo Tommy John surgery and miss the rest of the 2025 season, Red Sox manager Alex Cora announced Saturday.

The righty went on the injured list in mid-May with a right flexor strain after going 0-3 with an 8.04 ERA in nine starts.
