The trade came as a shock to pretty much everyone in the NBA world, and Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka had the perfect word to describe the significance of the Doncic move: Seismic.

Pelinka and Dončić spoke to the media, and while this trade is seismic, the Lakers general manager hinted he may not done bolstering the roster; he can't be. The Lakers have no center to go along with his roster, and Pelinka said what he and the brass must do to complete this roster by Thursday.

According to Brad Townsend of The Dallas News, that isn’t what Mavericks GM Nico Harrison did at all. In fact, he may as well have ignored the giant BLINKING RED LIGHT that said “DON’T DO THIS” when initially talking to Pelinka about trading Doncic.
