There's a brand new entry in the Octopath Traveler series for Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, Square Enix announced in today's Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase presentation.

Octopath Traveler 0 closed out this morning’s Nintendo Direct, and long-time fans immediately clocked that, despite the new name, the prequel RPG seemed to draw heavily from the 2022 mobile game Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent.

The Collector's Edition for Octopath Traveler 2 was revealed after the Nintendo Direct and Square Enix packed some great items in it.
