On Wednesday at 2:16 p.m. the National Weather Service released a heat advisory valid for Friday between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. for Passaic County.

The National Weather Service released a heat advisory at 1:41 p.m. on Wednesday valid for Friday between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. for Sussex, Warren, Morris, Hunterdon, Monmouth, Ocean and Burlington counties.
NWS expects the heat value to go up to 110 degrees. The organization warns that hot temperatures, coupled with humidity, may cause heat illness. Precautionary measures provided by NWS include drinking plenty of water, staying out of the sun and staying in air-conditioned rooms.
