For several weeks, in-the-know draft analysts have predicted a draft rise from Kentucky defensive back Maxwell Hairston. NFL analyst Daniel Jeremiah had Hairston in his initial top-50 and ESPN's Mel Kiper predicted a surge for the SEC star.

Hairston blazed the turf at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis with a 4.29 40-yard dash time during the defensive back workouts on Friday afternoon. He was clocked at over 24 MPH during his speedy run. It's the fastest time at the Combine through the first two days of testing and one of the fastest ever for a defensive back.
