Clean-up efforts continue in Eastern Kentucky following recent floods, with Governor Andy Beshear providing an update on the state's recovery response.

Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear visited the communities that were hit hardest by flooding and severe storms earlier this month.

Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear, in separate announcements late Friday and late Saturday, said the death toll from the recent flooding and severe cold has again increased. Now, 21 Kentuckians have died, Beshear said in posts on X, formerly Twitter.

Later this afternoon, the Governor will host Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem in Frankfort after she views flooded areas.
