An anesthesiologist charged with attempted second-degree murder for allegedly attacking his wife on an Oahu hiking trail was indicted by a grand jury Friday, one day after his initial court appearance.
Maui anesthesiologist Gerhardt Konig is accused of trying to push his wife, Arielle, off a Pali cliff, beat her with a rock, and inject her with syringes.
A restraining order has been granted against Gerhardt Konig, the former UPMC doctor accused of trying to kill his wife in Hawaii. The order forbids Gerhardt, who is currently being held on $5 million bail, from being in their home or contacting their children.
