Remaking Disney’s first animated movie “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” was always going to be controversial, but Disney’s new live-action retelling of the 1937 film may just whistle its way to box office success.

The live-action reimagining of the classic film has been attacked from the get-go, beginning when Rachel Zegler was cast as the iconic princess despite being of Colombian descent.

Disney’s feature take of 1937 classic toon Snow White is finally hitting theaters after weathering a tormenting tabloid, blown out of proportion controversy. Domestic is looking to land between a $45M-$50M opening with another $55M abroad.
