An estimate of 20 girls remained missing after deadly flooding caused “destructive” floods at Camp Mystic in Hunt, Texas, Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick said.

Heavy rains have caused devastating flash floods in Texas Hill Country, killing at least 24 people and leaving many others missing.

Camp Mystic, a Christian summer camp for girls ages 7 to 17, is located along the Guadalupe River in Hunt, Texas—a community now at the epicenter of a deadly flood emergency. At least six people have died in what Governor Greg Abbott called "devastating flooding" across the Hill Country and Concho Valley.
