The two programs had a nice little rivalry in the 2010s. The Badgers and the Wildcats met in the Elite 8 in back-to-back seasons (2014-2015) with a trip to the Final Four on the line. In both games, the Badgers prevailed, moving on to the Final Four. They are the same teams that are being honored tonight.

The only drama associated with Arizona’s first two games of the 2024-25 season ended up being from a degenerate standpoint, as the Wildcats won by a combined 87 points yet failed to cover against Canisius and played such good defense against Old Dominion the over didn’t hit.
